Kids Art Workshop "Print Party" @ Good Company Books

Our workshop arises as an extension of the reading sessions that take place on Saturday mornings at Good Company Bookstore. The objective is to give body to the inner world of each participant, whether from the stories heard the previous week or from the need to transpose their own fantasies into shapes, colors, and textures.

One image. Then another. Then five more, and so on: with just a single printing plate, we can reproduce our drawings as many times as we like. In this workshop, we will use accessible materials, such as EVA foam and crepe paper, to explore the printing process in a simple and playful way.

Using a pencil, participants will carve their designs into the EVA foam. When it is time to print, we will apply ink to the plate and press it onto a sheet of paper to transfer the image. This way, we can produce multiple copies of the same original and experiment with different color combinations and compositions.

Tickets for the event

The event has a cost of 7 euros (+tax). We ask that you make the reservation in advance so we can prepare enough materials for all the little artists. Please select how many adults will accompany. If you cannot attend, we ask that you cancel your ticket so that others can join.

What are we going to do?

Each session is unique and offers a structured script, designed to guide each child in the exploration of the contours of their imagination. We are going to discover different themes, techniques, and supports in each encounter. Here, we demystify the idea of "not having a knack" or "I can't" and we celebrate experimentation as an essential part of the process.

What do you need to bring?

Nothing special, just bring your curiosity! We provide all the necessary materials to materialize ideas into physical creations.

Who is this event for?

This workshop is for all children who want to expand their creative horizons through art. So that they feel safe and integrated, parents and caregivers are welcome to accompany the sessions.

A note from the hostess

The project is open to suggestions! Our hostess, Margarida, will be attentive to the tastes and proposals of each child, in order to shape her offer to our little artists.
