Explore the Balfour Declaration of 1917, British imperialism, and its lasting impact on Palestine and the struggle for freedom.

Public Lecture & Open Discussion

In 1917, a declaration issued by the British government would change the course of Palestinian history. More than a century later, its consequences continue to shape the lives of Palestinians and their struggle for freedom, justice, and self-determination.

Casa Palestina warmly invites you to a public lecture with Wael Zboun, PhD researcher at ISCTE, exploring the historical and political context of the Balfour Declaration, Britain's imperial role in Palestine, the rise of Zionism, and the lasting impact of colonial decisions on the Palestinian people.

Together, we will reflect on how the events of the past continue to shape the Palestinian question today, opening space for critical reflection, questions, and collective discussion.
