Celebrate one year of Caminhos à Mesa with us✨
For the past year, we’ve been sharing migrant stories through food, promoting intercultural dialogue, and celebrating the lives of migrants who bring their culture and heritage to our cooking workshops.
As a community resisting the touristification of food and gentrification of spaces in Lisbon, we invite you to gather, connect, get inspired by art, talk about our future projects, and dance together!
EVENT AGENDA:
15:30–16:00 | Decolonizing Food: Creating Space for Intercultural Dialogue, a talk by Ivan Bustillo (founder of Caminhos à Mesa).
16:00–16:30 | Behind the Lens: Celebrating Migrant Cooks, a photo exhibition opening by Theodore Clark & our cooking facilitators.
16:30–17:00 | Documentary Trailer & Crowdfunding Launch, a first look at our documentary Las Mesas de Barranquilla.
17:00–18:30 | Bar Hangout & DJ set, a musical selection by Schmoo (Wibbly Woods Resident).
