Starting with the formation of the planet and the emergence of the first living organisms, the work travels through different stages of Earth's history, leading to the development of human civilizations and the construction of cities.

Through a combination of digital imagery, sound composition, algorithms and artificial intelligence, Tatsuru Arai creates an immersive experience that brings together art, science and technology, questioning how human evolution and technological advances shape our perception of the universe.

Flowers, as essential elements of terrestrial ecosystems, play a central role in this narrative, connecting nature, human history and technological transformation.

About the artist

With an artistic and academic career spanning Japan and Germany, Tatsuru Arai is a composer and sound and visual artist. His artistic practice explores the relationship between music, algorithms and artificial intelligence, seeking new possibilities for artistic perception and experience.

Creator of the concepts TRANS-AGES MUSIC and Hyper-Serial Music, an approach to algorithmic composition that uses advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence, to explore new sound structures and push the boundaries of musical creation.

His work has been presented in more than 60 cities at international festivals and events dedicated to contemporary art, experimental music and new media.

This performance is part of TRANSGRESSION art + technology LAPP 3 – Live Audiovisual Performance Programme, a programme dedicated to contemporary audiovisual performance, promoting the intersection of art, technology and digital experimentation.
