Versus: Apollo Brown & Skyzoo No Porto

Versus: Apollo Brown & Skyzoo in Porto - December 7th (holiday eve) - Pérola Negra.

From the 313 to Do or Die Bed-Stuy.

There are classic combinations. Even when reinvented, they don't always truly venture outside their comfort zone. Crossing that boundary is the key to transcending the obvious.

Apollo Brown and Skyzoo took that step.

From "Trophies" with O.C. to "Dice Game" with Guilty Simpson, Apollo Brown has built a sound of his own. Motown days, dusty samples, heavy drums, and the sensibility of someone who knows exactly what an MC needs. Dapper Dan Beats.

Skyzoo is BK to the fullest. The perfect balance between cockiness and elegance. From "The Salvation" to "Retropolitan" with Pete Rock, the writing is always what matters most. Penmanship taken seriously.

In 2016, they connected on "The Easy Truth." Ten years later, they reunite on "Luxury Tax," the new album that puts that chemistry back in the spotlight. The most relevant part? Both know that the difference lies in the details, and they remain little interested in shortcuts.

"Luxury Tax" is about two artists who have nothing left to prove, other than the importance of freedom.

On December 7th, the two meet at Pérola Negra. Holiday eve and a great reason to get together again in Porto.

(OPO, we couldn’t close out the year without coming through.)

Tickets are divided into different sales phases. Each phase has a limited number of tickets available and can now be purchased. First come, first served.

Versus. History in the making.
